The Rio Streamer Leader XL Tippet is specifically designed for fishing with large flies and targeting big fish! The 1.22-meter-long leader is made of a moderately stiff nylon that unrolls and extends optimally. Attached to the leader is a swivel, followed by a 45 cm Fluoro-Flex Tippet with tremendous abrasion resistance. The swivel plays a crucial role when fishing with large flies, as these wind-sensitive streamers often spin in the air during casting. This rotation is absorbed by the swivel, preventing it from transferring to the leader and fly line. Despite being unconventional in fly fishing, the predator leader with the swivel offers multiple advantages! In addition to a twist-free leader, the swivel ensures an optimal presentation of the fly, often leading to the coveted fish strike!
