Cortland Wind-On C-16 Leader Material 100ft spool

The Cortland Wind-On C16 Leader Material is an extremely durable braid that allows you to splice strong loops. It is primarily used for fishing Marlin or Tuna.

To effectively attach particularly thick mono leaders to the fly line – without tying knots in the thick leader material – the Wind-On C16 is used. Mono or fluorocarbon leaders with strengths of 1 mm or more are inserted into the braid of the C16 material. A loop is then spliced into the soft and significantly thinner braided material. This creates a slim but extremely durable and strong loop.

The C16 material is available in three different strengths and withstands any fight, from Tuna to Marlin.

Details:

  • Extremely strong braid for making Wind-On leaders
