*1In Euro nymphing and comparable tight-line nymphing techniques, long special leaders are used to optimise the presentation of small (jig) nymphs. These monofilament leaders also offer a great advantage when it comes to bite detection, because even gentle touches can be perceived as a noticeable impulse.
The Gamakatsu Super G-Line Nymph is a cost-effective and great alternative to thin nymph lines and to pre-made nymph leaders. It is abrasion-resistant while offering very low stretch. Since it also has a highly visible colour, it allows perfect bite detection. And due to its easy handling, it enables a very precise presentation.
Tip: We recommend at least 10 m Super G-Line Nymph (either one piece or decreasing diameters combined) + 30 cm Sighter + Tippet for building a perfect nymph setup. The connections can be made with a small tippet ring. Alternatively, you can connect the different materials with a blood knot.
