The Cortland Euro Nymph Tri-Color Sighter material is the perfect addition to any Euro Nymph Leader. For nymphing techniques in the style of the stretched line (e.g. 'French Nymphing') no classic bite indicators are used on the water surface, because these unnaturally accelerate the free drift of the nymph near the bottom. Instead, sighters are used that do not bear the weight of the nymph. The bites are felt thanks to special rigs, leaders and sensitive rods (#2 - #4).
This sighter from Cortland is used for 'Euro Nymphing' - as the nymphing techniques are often referred to collectively - for better observation of the leader and the drift. The monofilament is dyed so that it can be seen optimally when suspended in the air in front of many different backgrounds. It changes color again and again (pink/blak chartreuse) and can be shortened from the 15m spool to the appropriate length. This popular sighter material is available in different diameters so that you can build your own individual leader perfectly. As usual, you can connect a small Pitzenbauer ring or a Perfection Loop between the tippet and the Sighter for a secure connection.
You can choose the fluorocarbon or nylon tippet (for nymph fishing we recommend the somewhat stiffer Stroft ABR) depending on the water level and the target fish.
A typical rig looks like this: Nymph leader (between 12 and 30 ft.) + 30 cm sight leader + 150cm to 200cm leader tip

- Three-color monofilament sight guide
