The Zpey Hybrid FFI shooting heads have been designed to present your fly in medium to shallow depth or right under the water surface. The lighter versions of these shooting heads perform extremely well on single hand rods when fishing for sea trout and alike. The heavier classes are a great choice for summer salmon fishing and challenging low water conditions.
Hybrid FFI heads are equipped with an intermediate front taper to sink your fly just below the surface. At the same time the floating belly gives you excellent control over your swing, good 'mendability' and is nicely visible, which makes it easy to track. Besides that, the floating belly picks up effortlessly from the water, casts easier and forms beautiful D-loops just as a full floater would. The short compact front taper has plenty of power and enables you to put out long controlled casts. A great innovatively designed shooting head by the sea trout and salmon experts at Zpey from Denmark.
