Instructions for Shortening Shooting Heads:

1. Determine Length and Weight
   Measure the current length and weight of the shooting head to know the starting values, or refer to the manufacturer's specifications.

2. Shorten at the Rear End
   Only shorten the shooting head at the rear end to avoid damaging the taper and affecting the fly's turnover. Cut in small increments of 10-15 cm.

3. Recheck Weight
   Weigh the shooting head after each cut to ensure the weight matches your rod.

4. Create a Loop
   Make a new loop at the shortened end (e.g., by splicing or using shrink tubing).

Required Tools for Shortening Shooting Heads:

1. Scale
   To accurately determine the weight of the shooting head before and after shortening.

2. Scissors or Sharp Cutter
   For precise shortening of the shooting head at the rear end.

3. Shrink Tubing
   To create a new loop at the shortened end of the shooting head and secure the end.

4. Lighter
   To heat the shrink tubing so it conforms to the end of the shooting head and creates a secure connection.

5. Measuring Tape or Ruler
