The adh Sea Trout Fly - Brown Prey is a brilliant streamer with incredible mobility. On one hand, the heavy double eyes ensure that the fly slows down and sinks strongly with every strip stop, then shoots forward again when you pull on the fly line. On the other hand, the ingeniously tied Antitangle tail made of extremely fine material plays another significant role in the lively action in the water. This combination is extremely enticing for sea trout. Additionally, the colors of the fly have been chosen to resemble several prey items of the sea trout, such as the bullhead, a stickleback, or even a sand shrimp. The Redhead is one of the best all-round flies for sea trout, year-round!

"The Brown Prey is exactly what the name suggests: (something) brown to eat. It doesn't mimic a specific prey item, but rather the group 'brown, medium-sized, and tasty.' How well it does that, I and many of my fishing buddies have experienced countless times. I've probably caught the most sea trout with this fly variation so far. No wonder, because I also fish it the most frequently. But anyone who looks at it in the water understands why I rely on it and why it simply catches... especially over bladderwrack and brownish bottoms, it just looks like a real little prey animal in the water. The natural coloration, the slim, unobtrusive shape, and the lively movement in the water make it an extremely good fly. Most of the time, I retrieve it quickly, with occasional longer sinking phases. Misses on the long tail happen, but almost always the fish strikes and then sits clean. In murky water, the brown fly is easily visible to the fish and therefore almost always my first choice when I encounter such conditions.
