The Red Killer is a classic Perdigon pattern and a true allrounder for many Trout and Grayling rivers all over Europe. Due to its slim body this little Tungsten Jig sinks like a stone and reaches the striking zone fast. The Hot Spot made from red Tinsel gives some extra attraction to this dark pattern, that works in any water color.
A few years ago so called 'Perdigon Nymphs' were mainly used by competition fly fishermen from Spain. Nowadays they can be found in nymph boxes all over Europe. Their main characteristics are a fine tail made from Coq de Leon or other natural fibers, varnished body and a black thorax. Due to their slim silhouette they reach the bottom very fast, but are aditionally weighted with tungsten beads. As a result of the special way of tying smaller hooks can be used, which is a big plus when fishing for selective and educated trout and grayling.
