No fly box should be without a Gammarus (Scud). And this one certainly shouldn't be missing! Tied exclusively for us, this Gammarus is an incredibly catchy pattern for Trout, Grayling and Co. on our creeks and rivers. The nymph has a very realistic look and is made with the best fly tying materials available. First-class Partridge feathers are used for the legs, giving the shrimp a very natural look. The curved back hides a lot of weight, so that you can fish this nymph successfully even in fast currents. The Gammarus is also particularly catchy in combination with a modern Euro Nymph with tungsten bead or paired with a small Split Shot that is fixed about 10 cm above the leader tip. Then the Gammarus rolls over the bottom of the river. A natural presentation - just like a natural gammarus that has been washed away under its stone.
The back of our Gammarus is hardened with high-quality varnish, which ensures a particularly long life. A special hook with a curved shape is used, which has an extremely strong steel and perfect hooking properties even without barbs. The long, thin tip of the hook penetrates cleanly and can be removed gently before releasing the fish.
Whether it's the Harz or Slovenia, the Eifel or Austria: our Gammarus will give you lots of pleasure on the water!
