The pheasant tail nymph is legitimately one of the most famous flies out there. It imitates a wide range of different aquatic insects and is effective from fast flowing mountain streams to lakes. This unweighted variant is extra delicate and can be presented softly without spooking the fish. It should be part of every basic fly selection.
