The CDC Biot Dun Emerger by Guideline is a variant of René Harrop’s great pattern. This fly is a hybrid between a Dun and an Emerger. The wing is little shorter than the fully emerged dun and has a clear shape of a nymph stucked in the surface with a slim abdomen and thicker thorax. This fly float quite low and we have found it to be very effective when Trout are taking both duns and emergers in the surface. A favourite on flat, slow water where the fish has good time to look at the fly. You can add floatant to the whole fly, sparse with Cdc Gel. Clear rivers and picky fish, dont miss this pattern!
PMD: The lighter colored Baetis, Cloeon, Procloeon and Centroptilum. Important color for high summer and autumn.
