The Tactical Dry Fly Buckey's Pete The Meat from Fulling Mill is a dry fly pattern on a hook with a long shank and a tightly tied parachute hackle, which not only imitates the head and wings of the mayfly, but also ensures that the dry fly is extremely buoyant. This tying method has proven itself over decades and still catches extremely well. This fly is a particularly good choice in faster water, as the head hackle ensures that the fly remains on the surface of the water and therefore does not sink so quickly in the currents and the resulting waves. Prepared with a little flotant, this pattern can be fished for a long time without having to dry or change it.
