The Tactical Dry Fly Buckey's Lovechild from Fulling Mill is a mix of the legendary Grey Wulff & French Partridge flies. Classically tied on a long shank hook and with a tightly tied hackle wreath, which not only imitates the head and wings of the mayfly, but also ensures extreme buoyancy of the dry fly, this pattern imitates a mayfly. This tying method has proven itself over decades and still catches extremely well. This fly is a particularly good choice in faster water, as the head hackle ensures that the fly remains on the surface of the water and therefore does not sink so quickly in the currents and the resulting waves. Prepared with a little flotant, this pattern can be fished for a long time without having to dry or change it.
