Guideline Salmon Tube Fly - Bhatakorva

The TD Bhatakorva was first tied by Håkan Norling from Sweden but has quickly become an absolute classic worldwide. TD stands for "Temple Dog Style." A beautiful wing in 6 cm or 9 cm made of high-quality fox, fine hackles, and synthetic Jungle Cock eyes make this tube fly from Guideline a top choice for salmon and sea trout. Lightly weighted with a color-matching conehead, this fly can also be presented in faster currents or with a high retrieval speed.

Phatakorva is named after a famous section in the Alta River, and the base colors of this fly resemble those of the original Templedog. This pattern fishes very well in stained water and is particularly effective when the river is slightly murky after a flood.

The tube fly was developed for fishing in stained waters, and it shows! In Norway, this fly is very popular in the rivers in Trøndelag, but it is also an excellent fly in other locations such as Kola, Finnmark, Lapland, and many more. And that's throughout the entire season!
