The Frödin Flies Tube Fly Pig Series - Mikkeli is a hybrid of various highly successful salmon flies. It's a mix of Frances and Potbelly Pig, if you will. The Pig Mikkeli tube fly can be fished all year round and is particularly effective when the water is clear or slightly murky. Additionally, the Mikkeli is an absolute favorite during the early and late hours of summer when the light is still weak. Thanks to the FITS conehead and its slim profile, the fly sinks quickly. It is perfect for deep pools and/or cold water. Especially in deep holding pools where the water flows slowly and heavily, this fly can deliver big surprises when presented deep with a sinking line (also works well with a jigging action). The fluorescent colors are highly visible even in murky conditions, and the fluorescent tips of the boar bristles add a special accent.
