The Swiftwater Rain Jacket is the perfect companion for the active fly fisherman who is exposed to the wet, among other things, but also produces a lot of wetness. Because, the 2.5-layer material of the Swiftwater has two special properties. It fights wetness, both the wetness that wants to get inside from the outside and the wetness that needs to get out from the inside. It's made of durable but lightweight 3.7 oz nylon with a waterproof membrane laminated to the inside. Added to this is a mesh grid printed on the inside to protect the membrane from abrasion and wear. The waterproof membrane is full of microscopic pores that allow vapor and heat to escape, but keep rain out. With the Swiftwater, you can expose yourself to the harshest of downpours and at the same time the internal wetness is channeled to the outside. This is exactly how a reliable outdoor jacket needs to work. To ensure that water stays out at all points, a high-quality, water-repellent AquaGuard® zipper from YKK® was used in the center as well as the pockets. The hood and also the sleeves of the jacket can also be ideally adjusted to the body by a drawstring, or Velcro, so that it whistles nowhere pure.
