The F 425 Medium Wide Cape Hook is a modern jig hook matching competition patterns with short bodies. The ultra sharp hook features a medium wire, a short shank and an wide gap with bent-in point for best hook-up rates. Due to its long needle-point fish don't get off during the fight, but can be released easily. Another reason for this is the fact that the hook is produced barbless already - a very modern attitude.
As any jig hook this one is great if your nymph should be presented near the river bottom. The eye is bend around 45 degrees so that your fly rides 'upside-down' in combination with slotted tungsten beads. As a result, your nymph gets stucked much less.
