The Plan D Max fly boxes are 100% sealed, preventing any water from entering the box, whether it’s a rain shower or if the boxes are submerged in water. In addition to being superbly sealed, they are also among the most robust fly boxes on the market. This is evident from the hinge, which runs the entire length of the box, making it virtually unbreakable. Plan D has also chosen an extremely durable design for the closure, ensuring that the contents are always securely protected and the seal is properly compressed to make the fly box completely waterproof.
The Max D 50/50 fly box consists of two sides, allowing you to store up to 20 tube flies and 20 articulated patterns. Upon purchase, you also receive a mandrel kit (steel pins) to secure your tubes. The pins can easily be cut to the desired length using side cutters as needed.
