The handmade Zen Tenkara Otter Butter Fly Line Dressing is a fly line dressing for fine tenkara fly lines, as well as silk lines or silk leaders. The dressing can be applied to the Tenkara fly line with the small patch of the Otter Butter Kit. The Otter Butter leaves a fine, slightly harder coating on the line, which does not let water through and allows the line to float extremely high. In addition, the thin coating on the line reduces friction and makes the line very smooth. This is a great advantage when applying the dressing to a normal, synthetic line. Among other things, the fly used can also be pimped with the Otter Butter so that it also floats on the water surface for a long time and is clearly visible.

Zen Tenkara was founded in 2012 by Karin Miller in Colorado out of fascination and passion for this traditional style of fishing. Zen revolutionizes this method of fixed line fly fishing and is known for creating a "fusion" of traditional fly fishing and tenkara fishing to catch not only small, traditional tenkara species, but also large, powerful fish not normally associated with this ancient Japanese method. Karin Miller, who remains at the helm of Zen Tenkara, has earned a reputation for being extremely innovative and pushing boundaries with her high-performance tenkara rods.
