After an arduous mating act the exhausted mayflies drop on the water surface where they become easiest prey of trout and grayling. Known as a spinner fall, it is highly advisable to carry a matching pattern as fish can show a super picky behavior in such an event.

The Trico Spinner is a sparsely tied pattern to imitate those exhausted mayflies. Sitting deeply in the surface film the Trico Spinner represents easy pickings for the fish. Exactly like the natural example of a spinner this fly has a very delicate silhouette rather than the chubby appearance typical for freshly hatched mayflies. A great pattern for the next spinner fall.

Due to the small size also great for picky grayling offside the spinner fall.
