The three-layer construction gives this new nylon unique material properties. A core layer provides the right blend of strength and suppleness to present your fly perfectly and accurately, while providing the break resistance necessary for landing hard-fighting fish. The hydrophobic coating ensures that the nylon does not absorb water throughout the day, resulting in weaker knots and overall lower tensile strength in competitor materials. The third layer is a continuous coating that creates a smoother, more consistent and reliable surface. All X-rated leaders contain a special Umpqua ProBand to prevent unwanted unwinding.
