The GrandWave Sea Trout is a high quality sea trout rod from DAIWA, specially designed for the demands of Norway and the North and Baltic Seas. At DAIWA, the GrandWave rod series stands for mature and reliable sea tackle in outstanding quality. With the Sea Trout, Daiwa has succeeded in developing a first-class sea trout rod that fulfils all the characteristics of a long-casting spinning rod.
The rod has a medium-fast action and the HVF carbon blank charges ideally during casting for maximum casting distance and precision. Coastal lures and plugs weighing around 25g are ideal, but the rod also handles heavier lures up to 40g with ease. The action of the backbone has been chosen so that the lure can be cast effectively even at maximum distance. In the fight, the blank cushions the fast escapes of sea trout cleanly and prevents the fish from slipping out, especially at close range.
The GrandWave Sea Trout is also suitable for sea trout on large alpine lakes and dams. The fast yet continuous action makes it possible to fish with both monofilament and braided line. It also features an EVA handle, Fuji Fazlite K-rings and an aluminium/rubber end cap.
