Hold your breath, because these waders don’t breathe! A bolt statement with which the Swedish company LOC Outdoors AB positions itself on the waders market. The question that plagued the ambitious minds behind the young company: why are there no waders that deliver what they promise? Too often disappointed with wet, cold feet on the water, the desire for a more durable wading solution quickly became the company's own mission. But why are breathable waders so prone to leaking? It quickly became clear that the fragile membranes of breathable waders were the main weak point. So, with the decision against a breathable membrane, another solution was needed to wick sweat and moisture away from the body. The answer: the novel, patented 3-D Mesh-Tech System!

The inner lining of the waders: 3-D Mesh-Tech System!

The patented 3-D mesh lining system combines many of the features we look for in a high-performance wader. It wicks away moisture, retains heat and at the same time has a cushioning function.

• Condensation and sweat
  The special lining ensures unhindered airflow within the wader and a constant distance between the skin and the outer material of the waders. The special grid structure of the lining creates countless small spaces that trap condensation and moisture, and promotes optimal air circulation.

• Insulation
  The distance between the outer material and the body simultaneously ensures that an air cushion is formed. This air cushion stores and insulates your body heat. The insulating properties of the material have proven to be so efficient that a single layer of merino wool under the waders is enough to keep you comfortably warm even in frosty outdoor temperatures and very cold water.

• Pressure distribution
  The patented 3-D Mesh-Tech-System also offers incredible resistance to pressure, as the soft mesh structure optimally cushions and distributes pressure from the outside. Not only does this protect the material, but more importantly, it makes for an incredibly comfortable wearing experience.

Note: Since your LOC waders are not breathable, moisture is trapped in the 3D mesh tech system. So just turn your waders inside out at night and let them dry. Then, thanks to quick-drying mesh structure, you can slip back into comfortable and dry waders the next morning.
 

Military Graded Outer Fabric

Durability and longevity were the main focus in the development of this new type of waders. And this is where the outer fabric comes into play: an extremely durable, yet soft and stretchy trilaminate butyl fabric, which is used, for example, in special military grade drysuits for extreme and safety-critical cave and wreck diving. Absolutely durable and resistant to external stress factors! So, you can trust that you will get a wader that will stand up to whatever you can throw at it by the river or in the sea.

If the toughest outer material in the industry still doesn't give you enough security, the ultra-rugged Kevlar reinforcement will. Kevlar® reinforced inserts of soft, military-grade DuPont™ Kevlar® fibers have been added to the high-wear areas of the knees and lower legs, improving tear and abrasion resistance immeasurably. Virtually indestructible, the DuPont™ Kevlar® panels not only protect areas subject to heavy wear and tear, but also serve as knee and lower leg protection against rocks and other nasty objects that might get in your way while wading.

Comfort and ergonomic design

For the very best in mobility, the entire wader, from the straps all the way down to the booties, has been anatomically cut at the high-movement points. The adjustable mesh strap system not only allows for optimal ventilation on the upper body, it also distributes the weight on the shoulders and back perfectly, so you can wade effortlessly for days without feeling any uncomfortable tension. Even when you're carrying a large landing net on the sturdy D-ring at the back.

The robust TIZIP front zipper makes for even faster and more convenient entry and exit. For us, an absolute plus and a feature that we no longer want to miss in waders. The 50 mm wide, elastic wading belt ensures that nothing slips even during long, demanding marches and your LOC waders always fit perfectly. Fly boxes, leader material and other important small items can be stored in the two large zippered chest pockets, while important tools can be attached to the two front loops and are always quickly at hand.
