The LOC Merino Boxer Shorts are made of the highest quality Merino Wool. Like all products from LOC, both design and materials are extensively tested in real-life situations to ensure a high level of comfort under waders (also suitable for other outdoor activities).
The soft, moisture-wicking, insulating, odor-resistant, temperature-regulating, breathable, and elastic properties of Merino Wool have proven themselves in challenging outdoor sports for many years. This high-tech material of nature is therefore our absolute favorite, especially under waders.
LOC Boxer Shorts are made of 98% of the finest and softest Merino wool (19.5 microns), mixed with 2% Elastane® and woven into a stretchy but very strong and durable fabric. The blend of Merino Wool and Elastane® is the perfect material combination for warmth, ventilation, and outstanding moisture-wicking.
As you may already know: The right underwear is a must if you want to perfectly harness the special features of LOC waders and maximize warmth, ventilation, and comfort (applies to breathable waders from other manufacturers as well).
Origin: The Merino wool fabric is made in Sweden by a small, family-owned factory dating back to 1965. The opportunity to produce super high-quality Merino products "close to home" was particularly important to LOC.

Care instructions:
- Wash on the wool cycle in the washing machine (maximum temperature 30-40 °C).
- If possible, use wool detergent or a mild detergent without enzymes and with a neutral pH value.
- Do not use bleach or fabric softener. It is bad for the environment and can reduce the natural performance of the fabric.
- If possible, do not put in a dryer.
Wool is truly an amazing material. Its resistance to dirt and bacteria is well documented. Merino wool does not need to be washed as often as other textiles. After use, the garment can simply be hung out in the fresh air, and after a while, any unpleasant odors will dissipate. Too frequent washing can reduce the natural properties of the wool. Using a laundry bag protects the wool during washing and extends its lifespan.
