Geoff Anderson Xera 4 Wading Jacket grey

The Xera 4 by Geoff Anderson is an extremely lightweight wading jacket, made from a highly durable outer fabric here in Europe. The jacket is based on a concept that recycles fabrics that would otherwise be discarded because of small blemishes. A cool thing! The 4th generation Xera has a revised and more effective wrist closure system that allows for infinite adjustment. Very important when you want to put your catch back in the water - without getting your arms wet. The features of the rain jacket include three functional pockets. Two large waterproof pockets at the front, which are integrated into the design. The large CF boxes also fit into these pockets. There is a loop in the left pocket to attach a retractor, for example. On the back of the jacket is another large pocket that offers plenty of storage space. Here you can store everything from a large fly box to snacks and water. The side access YKK® AquaGuard zip is very convenient, so you don't even have to take the jacket off in the rain.

Geoff Anderson designed the Xera 4 for active use on the water and in nature. The length of the jacket is tailored for improved freedom of movement in fishing situations. The pivoting hood with visor follows the movements of your head. Ideal if you wear a cap and/or sunglasses. The waist can be adjusted with one hand and the wrist has an infinitely variable closure system. Another special feature of this jacket is the rip-stop fabric. The success in producing such a fabric is based on the ability to create fabrics that combine technical properties with innovative design, making them ideal for fishing and other outdoor activities. Superfine fibres with extreme tensile strength are used. The lightweight fabric is extremely tightly woven, which reduces punctures. It offers excellent waterproofing and windproofing, is highly breathable and has been awarded Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Last but not least, the fabric is part of a concept where Geoff Anderson recycles fabrics that would otherwise be thrown away because of small blemishes. This is not only good for the environment, but also for you, because you save money on the bottom line through lower production costs.

In short: the Xera 4 is light in weight, waterproof, breathable and windproof. A very good choice for active fly fishers and a tip for all those who focus on low weight. The high-quality outer material is extremely robust and resistant. Moisture can evaporate optimally, allowing for a very good body climate. It is also non-porous, i.e. the membrane cannot be clogged by dirt or salt particles. We therefore like to use this wading jacket at the Baltic Sea or can recommend it as a travel-friendly, light rain jacket for the tropics. Another plus point for us is the jacket's environmentally friendly, non-toxic recycled material, which is processed in Europe. This means short transport distances and a reduced footprint for the climate.
