When fishing on the open sea, especially in colder climates, the safety of the boat's crew should be paramount. A day of fishing can quickly turn into a nightmare if the proper safety precautions are not taken and a sudden mishap occurs. Westin has designed the W4 Flotation Suit, a functional safety suit aimed specifically at the discerning spinning angler who enjoys fishing from a boat in wind and weather.
Quality and functionality were the main goals in the development of this suit, with special consideration given to the demands of extreme- and sea anglers.
The one-piece suit is made of abrasion-resistant, PU-coated 210D nylon, with the seams all taped to ensure even better waterproofing. Seat and knee areas are each further reinforced with a ripstop material. Good buoyancy in the water is provided by the lightweight, flexible foam. An additional automatic vest can of course also be attached to the loops provided for this purpose. The SOLAS reflective material in neon yellow can be seen quickly even in the most adverse lighting conditions and reflects light in all directions thanks to improved zigzag seams. The mesh lining inside favors excellent moisture transport and on warm days the integrated suspenders come in handy. The upper part of the suit can then simply be pulled out and tucked back.
The 180° viewing window integrated into the hood, the extra-high collar with fleece lining and the easily accessible inner pocket are some of the other features of the W4 swimsuit that anglers will appreciate, as will the various pockets for accessories and the neoprene sleeve cuffs.
Whether on large reservoirs or Rügen's Bodden when hunting for pike, or when halibut and cod fishing in the cold north - when fishing from a boat you should not do without appropriate safety precautions in any case. The Floatation Suit from Westin is a super well thought-out and above all functional companion that can save lives in an emergency.

Westin Scandinavia experienced its origin already in 1952 by Ingvar Westin. Quickly, the very small carving workshop became a large fishing company, known first in Sweden and later throughout Europe. Due to the attention to detail and the perfectionist work on all products, Westin is now a household name for every predator fisherman. Innovation, passion and especially the hunt for big fish are the focus of this company, which is especially known for high-quality rods and particularly catchy lures.
