You have tied some brushy flies that are hard to get below the surface? No problem with these Bauer Pike Beads. They will add just enough weight that your fly sinks slowly and yet is still fair to cast. Simply slide one onto your pike leader before making the knot and there you go. The large diameter fits easily over Hard Mono or any pike leader and the high quality assures that your leader won't get damaged by any sharp edges of the bead. Positive side effect: It will also create a Jigging effect when stripping – compelling for pikes!
Tip: If you want to go really deep, put an additional Bauer XXL Tungsten Pike Conehead in front of the bead. Tied like this your fly will not only scratch bottom, but every strip will produce a loud click as the two metal parts pop against each other. This is known from the famous “Texas Rig”.
