The sea trout seminar with Martin takes place on the Danish Baltic Sea island of Als and the surrounding area. Ther you can find particularly good opportunities to successfully fly fish for sea trout. In addition to the open east coast, there are many small bays and fjords in the west of the island, so you can find the right spot for any condition. The sea trout hot spots are also extremely diverse. From shallow bays with sand to seagrass meadows and typical leopard bottom, to steep shores, it's all there. In addition to the goal of catching a sea trout together, all fundamental topics about sea trout and their habitat are discussed in order to apply the experience about the fish and the behaviour to the respective spot and fly choice on the fishing day.
The following key pionts will be covered:
- The correct assessment of the conditions (weather and water)
- Choosing the right location depending on the season as well as current conditions on the fishing day
- Selecting and presenting the right fly pattern
- Identifying potential sea trout spots
- Proper fishing techniques for sea trout
- Answering individual customer questions
The event is aimed at both beginners and advanced fly fishers. However, basic knowledge of fly casting is required as this is not a pure casting course.
