Interested in pike fishing? Then come with us to the island of Rügen! Because in our workshops in November, everything revolves around the topic of 'pike'.
In our workshops with Martin, Alex and Paulo we focus on the right tackle for pike fishing, reliable rigs, the most effective patterns, casting with large flies, and of course, the best tactics for catching Esox lucius. In a small group, we'll spend two full days on the water to show you what we've learned about pike over the last 15 years. In addition to the goal of catching pike together, we will discuss all the fundamental aspects of the predatory fish and its habitat.

Rügen is a prime area for pike fishing and fishing in November mostly promises good chances for big fish. With us, you'll learn how to select the right location and effectively fish a spot. Temperature, water levels, wind direction, and many other factors play a role when you want to be successful in pike fishing. In our workshop, you'll learn how to interpret these external factors and make the right decisions on the water.
The following topics will be covered:
- Properly assessing conditions (weather and water)
- Selecting the right spot
- Choosing the right flies and fly presentation
- Identifying potential holding spots
- Casting large pike flies
- Assembling and rigging the rod, reel, line, leader, and fly
- Safely playing and landing pike
Our pike workshop is aimed at both beginners and advanced fly anglers. However, basic knowledge of fly casting is required, as this is not a purely casting course. The maximum number of participants is 6 people.
What's included:
- 2 Overnight stay in a single bedroom
- 2 breakfasts
- Professional photos (if desired)
- On request, a free pike set as rental equipment, consisting of rod/reel and line
- Various pike rods and lines for testing
