Buy a Patagonia or adh-fishing sticker in our store and we will donate the money to projects researching sustainable management of wild fish stocks.
In our webshop you will find a large selection of weatherproof stickers - with cool designs and in different sizes. With them you can customize your line basket or your fly case. For example with the Fitz Roy Fish stickers from Patagonia or our adh-fishing stickers with designs from Dutch artist Peter Perch.
And from now on, your purchase of such a sticker will support interesting research projects. Projects that deal with the sustainable management of wild fish stocks in the context of angling in inland waters. Because at the end of the year, we donate the proceeds from these stickers to the projects of Prof. Dr. Robert Arlinghaus and his research groups at the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries and the Humboldt University of Berlin.
So: Buy stickers, put them on and participate in the research!
Professor Dr. Robert Arlinghaus is an expert in integrative fisheries management and he works at the Humboldt University of Berlin and the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB). In 2020, the passionate angler received the Communicator Award (an award for outstanding science communication from the DFG/Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft), and in the same year he attracted media attention with, among other things, the "Boddenhechte" project. This project by him and his research group deals with pike fishing in the Bodden waters around Rügen. The researchers are working hand in hand with anglers and fishermen to investigate factors influencing the Bodden pike, analyze migratory movements, delimit spawning areas, and quantify the socio-economic and tourism significance of angling and commercial fishing of the Bodden pike stocks for the region.
An important goal of Robert Arlinghaus is to link angling with the socially relevant issues of sustainability, environmental protection and the responsible use of nature. Therefore, he is in close exchange with anglers and fishery managers, but also with conservationists, political decision makers and the general public.
More information on the work of Prof. Dr. Arlinghaus and on his projects can be found, for example, on the website of the Fachgebiet für Integratives Fischereimanagement (IFishMan) at the Humboldt University of Berlin. There you can also find detailed information about the individual projects, for example the project "Boddenhechte". The following video (German language) introduces Robert Arlinghaus and the work of him and his research groups.
