Caddis are one of the big three. Besides Mayflies and Stoneflies these insects are one of the most important food source for Trout, Grayling, Barbel and other species in most rivers. In this tying video Alexander Keus (author of 'Nymphenfischen - Geheimnisse entlarvt') is tying a simple Caddis Nymph: The 'Hot Spot PSYCHO CADDIS'. This pattern is tied with just three materials and can be created in different body colors - just choose your favorite 'Nymph Dub Flash Brush' by H2O. Sizes range from #10 to #16, depending on water level and target fish. The hot spot made from Glo-Brite, a fluorescent floss adds nice color to your fly.
A simple but catchy pattern. Just perfect to fill gaps in your fly box.
Enjoy tying!
