'Euro Nymphing' has become a very popular term amongs fly fishers all across the globe during the last couple of years. At the same time as these different tight line nymphing techniques (e.g. Czech Nymphing, French Nymphing, Spanish Nymphing etc.) evolved, new flies and new interpretations of classic nymph patterns arose too. Due to new tying materials like jig hooks and tungsten beads it is finally possible to present small flies in fast current to Trout and Grayling feeding close to the bottom. A big advantage on many rivers!
In this tying video we show you a highly effective pattern for rivers with small, dark mayflies: The 'French Holo Jig'. This pattern uses little material and should be tied in small sizes - #14 or #16. It's tied with a holographic hotspot (red) made from Uni Mylar Tinsel.
Viel Spaß beim Anschauen, Nachbinden und Fischen! Euer adh-fishing Team.
