Why the Exocett SS?
The Exocett SS was specifically designed for fishing with heavy or sinking lines and/or large flies. With a unique rod taper that combines a stiff tip with a flexible midsection, it offers an excellent balance between power and flexibility. - Proprietary Resins
The performance of graphite fibers depends on the quality of the resin binding them together. T&T has worked with leading industry companies to develop their own resin that enhances the performance of graphite materials. In this resin, T&T uses nanoscale particles to eliminate microscopic voids in the graphite. Filling these tiny gaps with this high-performance resin improves the strength, durability, and damping properties of the rod blank, while reducing overall weight.
- Ferrule Reinforcement Process (FRP)
The ferrules on fly rods are subjected to the greatest stresses. For this reason, T&T rolls a strategic additional layer of high-strength graphite by hand over these areas. In addition to reinforcing the ferrule, this process also gives the fly rods a distinctive detail.
