When using a dry fly as an indicator we speak about the 'Hopper-Dropper-' or 'Duo-Technique'. This special way of nymphing is very popular in the US and New Zealand and works great on different kinds of waters: fast running pocket waters, steady flowing streams and in general, when trout and grayling don't just feed close to the bottom.
