Guideline NT8 Spey Rods

NT8 - This product range from Guideline is at home on the streams, rivers, lakes and coasts of Europe and makes the hearts of Trout, Sea Trout and Salmon anglers beat faster in equal measure. But also predator anglers are enthusiastic about the powerful rods, which can even be used in tropical saltwater without hesitation. In this video we cast the NT8 two-handers for you on the Mörrum.

The Guideline NT8 rod series is based on the latest nanotechnology and forms the premium class of the Norwegian rod makers from Guideline. All blanks of the NT8 one-handed rods, two-handed rods and switch rods are made of extremely feedback-friendly, highly modulated IM8 carbon fibre and a special Nano Tube resin. This exclusive combination of materials results in a rod with extreme performance - the strongest and lightest rod series Guideline has developed to date.

NT8 fly rods from Guideline convince with a noble finish and are built exclusively with very high quality components. These include the satin-grey blank made from the best carbon fibre, super-light anodised titanium rings and Fuji KW stripping guides. No compromises are made in terms of quality when it comes to the handles either! The handles on all models are made from Portuguese 4A cork with composite cork ends for added strength. The stylish Guideline custom aluminium reel seat holds all reels securely and firmly. The NT8 rods are supplied in a protective Air Mesh rod case and lightweight rod tube for safe transport.

In this video we cast the Guideline NT8 two-handed rods on the Mörrum. In combination with a shooting head from Guideline, the NT8 two-handers cast simply fantastically and are incredibly light in the hand.

For the Swedish Salmon River we recommend the following models:

  • #8/9 12,9 ft (6 pcs Travel): A great choice for autumn fishing in the upper pools on the Mörrum, where there is a little less casting space. Even though it is a class 8/9, this rod offers plenty of power during the fight.
  • #8/9 13,9 ft (6 pcs Travel): The longer version in class 8/9 is ideal for the classic Sea Trout pools in the lower part of the stretch, for example the legendary Pool 17.
  • #9/10 12,9 ft (6 pcs Travel): If you're hunting big, fresh and strong Salmon in early season and like to fish slightly shorter rods, this is the best choice for you!
  • #9/10 13,9 ft (6 pcs Travel): The all-round rod for Salmon fishing in May! When you need a lot of power and a longer rod to fight strong silver bars in fast currents ... well then this is your first choice.

If you prefer to fish with four-piece rods and can live without the handy pack size of the NT8 Travel, then the corresponding models of the NT8 Four are just right for you. Whichever model you choose: With an NT8 you are always well advised!
