River Sea Trout fishing during the night is an awesome experience. The river appears calmer than normal and you start to notice even smallest noises of your surrounding. Once your eyes get used to the darkness you start to see outlines and hopefully some activity on the flat surface. This is the time when you attach a big fly on a floating line and fish really close to the surface. Black is the colour of choice because it provides the best contrast and therefore most attention. In this video, Andy Weiß shows you how to tie a catchy Sea Trout tube fly with long wing.
Tip: Fish often take your fly really gentle at the end of the wing. So for this long pattern it is really necessary to use a long tube in order to place the hook right at the end of the wing. Chances will be good that you convert your next bite. :-)
