Rugged, grippy, and above all, super comfortable! The Andrew Creek Dark V2, made entirely in Italy, is a wading boot of the highest class and brings a real innovation to the market! The biggest difference from the previous model lies in the brand new Wet Grip sole. To achieve extreme durability, maximum walking comfort, and excellent traction, the special rubber compound for this purpose has been completely redesigned. In this video, we introduce the Creek Dark V2 in detail and show you why we are so impressed with the new sole and the combination of rubber, felt, and spikes!
The Andrew Creek Dark V2 is a top-class wading boot handmade in Italy (Montebelluna)! Since 1981, the Italian manufacturer has been known for its indestructible mountain shoes and has now set out to design the most rugged wading boot on the market.
Originally developed for fly fishing in the Italian mountains, where long marches to alpine waters, occasional climbing, and even conquering rocks are part of the routine. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Creek - comparable to a modern hiking boot - is high-cut and stiffer in the ankle area to provide the highest stability. To protect against rugged stones and minimize impacts, it is reinforced all around by an extremely durable rubber coating. Despite this outstanding durability, it is so comfortable that during initial tests, we didn't want to take it off. You won't find higher wearing comfort anywhere else! The high-quality soles and midsoles also contribute to comfort while wading, being bonded with a special multi-component glue of German manufacture. Its optimal application has been perfected by Andrew through years of research and development, ensuring wading boots that hold together securely even after hundreds of hours of use.
The most noticeable innovation of the CREEK DARK V2 compared to its predecessor is undoubtedly the completely redesigned Wet Grip sole. It is specifically designed for use in moist areas and water, featuring excellent slip resistance on wet, smooth, and mossy surfaces.
- Wet Grip sole
For the Wet Grip sole, a completely new rubber compound has been developed, which exhibits very elastic and extremely soft properties, which also have a very positive effect on walking comfort. However, the great advantage of this new material is its brilliant mechanical resistance at all temperatures. The resulting low wear on all surfaces ensures an extremely long service life of the wading boot. Thanks to the controlled deformability and viscoelastic behavior, the sole adapts perfectly to any ground shape and increases the effective contact area. This is further enhanced by the slightly wider sole, allowing you to use the maximum contact and friction area with every step. This makes wading in difficult situations much easier and safer!
But the best part is yet to come: Because Andrew offers the innovative Wet Grip sole for the new Creek Dark V2 in a variety of configurations: Rubber only, Rubber + Felt, Rubber + Spikes, or prefer everything together? The Choice is Yours! Whether for the coast, stream, or in the mountains, you no longer have to make any compromises when choosing the right sole for your individual area of use.
